Dawn Michelle (Rodgers) Endres, age 43, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005 at her home in Little Rock after a courageous 10-year battle with a brain tumor. Only her indomitable spirit and will to live kept her going after being told that she didn’t have a chance. Her greatest desire in life was to live long enough to mother her children to adulthood. To be trusted by our God above with raising children is without doubt one of life’s great adventures, and can quite often be the measure of one’s success.

Born October 17, 1961, Dawn was preceded in death by her Mother, Sally Beeler Rodgers and son Zachary Ryan Mazander. She is survived by two daughters; Sarah Mazander and Ashley Endres of Little Rock; two sons, Brandon Mazander, serving with the 1st Marine Division in Iraq and Adam Mazander, a student at UCA in Conway; one sister, Lisa Douglas (husband Rick) of Furlow; one brother, Michael Rodgers (wife Stacy) of Nashville, TN; her devoted Father, Ray Rodgers, and “Special Mom” Carole Minor of Little Rock; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Dawn was a member of Markham Street Baptist Church where she volunteered in Vacation Bible School just last month. She was a licensed paramedic, working for MEMS until her diagnosis January 25, 1995. Dawn had a heart that was way too big and way too soft for her own good. She never met a stray dog or cat that was too scruffy to be cared for and loved.
